THE BOAT - UNATHI (“GOD WITH US”)
Designed especially for whale watching and leisure cruises, Unathi is a SAMSA-approved modern 15-meter catamaran that is equipped with eco-friendly engines that minimize underwater noise. Two 380HP inboard diesel engines are used for our vessel’s propulsion to make the trip quieter and safer for marine life.
The main passenger cabin is safe and sheltered from the wind and the open-top deck on the vessel offers great viewing and photo opportunities. The interior is spacious and features ladies' and gents' toilets. Comfortable café-style seating makes for a comfortable trip, viewing opportunities, and up close and personal marine wildlife encounters.
Our vessel Unathi is crewed by competent guides and a skipper who are very experienced in interacting with the local marine wildlife and the whales.

THE CREW
The crew has expert knowledge of the sea conditions and is fully trained tour guides and trained in all aspects of safety and first aid. Hermanus Whale Watchers' staff constantly monitors the weather and responds professionally to any changes. Passenger comfort and safety will always be our first priority. Unathi is wheelchair accessible.
